Minister of State for Youth Affairs stresses role of Emirati Youth in Safeguarding the UAE

The UAE’s Minister of State for Youth, Her Excellency Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui, underscored the Emirati youth has become a symbol of will and determination, ready to make sacrifices to safeguard the nation and its achievements. H.E. Al Mazrui stressed that the UAE’s leadership, by issuing the national service law, reaffirms its commitment to instill values of loyalty, belonging and sacrifice among the nation’s people.

 

H.E. Al Mazrui toured the Khawla Bint Al Azwar Military School and met female conscripts where she was welcomed by General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of the National Service Authority and senior officers.

 

Praising Emirati youth for joining the military service, H.E. Al Mazrui said: “you are the pride of the nation. Those in military service represent the bright image of the Emirati youth who are generous. Joining the military service is an honor to safeguard the nation and its people.”

 

Addressing female conscripts, H.E. Al Mazrui added “joining the military service is not an easy decision for women generally; it requires sacrifice and you proved that are able to efficiently and effectively handle today’s challenges.”

 

H.E. Shamma Al Mazrui lauded the UAE’s Armed Forces role in many fields and the national military service supervised by the National Service Authority. It lays the foundations for the security, stability and prosperity of the nation. The UAE manifested an example of cohesion between the leadership and the people as well as equipping the Emirati youth.

 

Touring the training camp, H.E. Al Mazrui learned about the training programme designed for female conscripts such using arms as well as gaining skills on self-independency, punctuality and others.

 

H.E. Al Mazrui also learned about female conscripts and discussed with them how to engage the youth, adding: “I can see that you are gaining knowledge and skills in military affairs and others to serve the community and safeguard our beloved nation. Defending our nation can be in our offices, volunteering, military action, which eventually is protecting our nation’s achievements.”

H.E. Al Mazrui added “I have two brothers who are currently conscripted, they are like those who are doing their national duty. I send you all our appreciation and to all who are working on such a leading national project for your sacrifices to safe and protect our nation and ensure our security.”

 

Accompanying during Her Excellency Al Mazrui’s tour was a number of Emirates Youth Council members: Meera Hesham Al Muhairi, Meera Faisal Marzooqi, Saeed Mohammed Al Nazari, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Kendi.
