The Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of the UAE assumes the following responsibilities, as per the Constitution of the United Arab Emirates:
- The Prime Minister, his deputies and all the ministers are jointly responsible in front of the President of the UAE and the Supreme Council for execution of the General Policy of the Federal Government inside and outside the UAE.
- The Prime Minister supervises the coordination of work among the various ministries and executive federal government entities, providing directives to ministers, particularly on matters affecting the governments general policy.
- The Prime Minister calls for convening of the Cabinet, administers its discussions, and monitors the activities of ministers.
- The Prime Minister presides over the Cabinet Sessions.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in his position as Vice President of the UAE carries out all the roles and responsibilities of the President of the UAE in cases when the President is not present for any reason.
