Ministry of Cabinet Affairs

The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs was established in 2006 upon the appointment of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates

The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs undertakes a key role in the government through key entities, namely the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, the Prime Minister’s Office, the UAE Government Media Office, and the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre.

The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs is charged with following up on the decisions and directions of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet; overseeing the implementation of the government’s vision and national agenda; monitoring government performance; boosting the efficiency of the federal government; enhancing the quality of government services; leading innovation and excellence efforts; developing government communication systems; developing policies, frameworks and mandates of government entities; as well as providing recommendations to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.
