The Government Experience Exchange Office (GEEO) at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, established in 2023, serves as the knowledge driver for the government of the United Arab Emirates. Its mission is to promote the UAE’s position as a global hub for government management and development, while enhancing its reputation and competitiveness. The GEEO is developing a leading model for knowledge exchange with friendly and brotherly governments to ensure sharing best government practices in strategic planning, government performance, government excellence, and leadership in services provision. This is enabled by concluding agreements and establishing bilateral cooperation with various governments, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance government development and capacity building.
The GEEO further promotes partnerships with government and private entities within the UAE to develop, promote and implement experience exchange programmes, thereby ensuring the best outcomes. Additionally, it follows up on the implementation of experience exchange programs with partner countries, and publishes periodic reports to assess the impact and objectives achieved by these programs.
The Government Experience Exchange Programme also contributes to achieving Goal No. 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which calls for strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
