Khalifa issues several decrees

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a federal law No.5 for 2016 with respect to diplomatic medals. The provisions of the law apply to the former and current members of the diplomatic and consular corps but may also apply to those who have provided great services to the UAE in terms of developing its relations with brotherly and friendly countries and international organizations.

 He also issued a federal law No.8 for 2016 amending the federal law No.4 for 1987 with respect to civil medals. A new article No.7 stipulates that a medal titled Martyr’s Medal is established and granted to the martyr’s family. 

 A federal law No.9 for 2016 has also been issued amending some provisions of the federal law No.8 for 2009 with respect to military medals.

 Meanwhile, Sheikh Khalifa has issued a federal law No.7 for 2016 amending some provisions of the federal law No.23 for 1999 with respect to utilising, protecting and developing living aquatic resources. According to the law published in the recent issue of the official gazette, the wording of 29 articles of the previous law has been changed, 4 new articles have been added and 4 others have been revoked from the previous law.
