Mohammed bin Rashid issues Resolution on control of personal protection equipment and occupational safety

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued  UAE Cabinet Resolution No. 3 of  2016 on the control of equipment, tools and materials for personal protection, occupational safety and health.

The Resolution, published in the latest issue of the Federal Official Gazette is related to equipment, tools or materials worn or carried, or used in any way for personal protection or for the promotion of occupational safety and health and the prevention of risks to the personal safety and health, whether used independently or in connection with another product that is not used for personal protection to ensure the protection of the health and safety of its users.

Members of the armed forces or security forces, civil defence and nuclear power plants, and products prepared for protection from abnormal weather conditions, and products intended for use on marine vessels or gliders are excluded from the scope of Resolution.
