Saif bin Zayed issues directions to launch Ministry of Interior Youth Council

H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has issued a directive to launch a Ministry of Interior 'Youth Council' to support the outstanding energies of youth at the ministry and to empower them in line with future plans; using them to identify the main challenges and to propose appropriate solutions and programmes, as well as to launch initiatives that support the ministry's plans and objectives.

The Ministry of Interior identified the steps, which are characterised as transparent and objective, to select the members of the council, whose ages will range from 20 to 30 years old, and to be selected from all sectors.

The establishment of the Ministry of Interior Youth Council is consistent with the Emirates Youth Council, launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to promote sustainable communication with the youth of the UAE, to listen to them and be briefed on their ideas and opinions in finding solutions to challenges so that the government can provide a better 'incubator environment' to realise their dreams and aspirations, and enable them to play a key role in the process of construction and prosperity in the UAE.
