Sharjah Youth Council set up to build the bridge to knowledge based future

The Sharjah Youth Council (SYC) was set up yesterday (Tuesday) to activate and bolster the role of youth and their contribution in the UAE’s development process. The setting up of SYC was announced by the Sharjah Executive Council and UAE Youth Council. Shamma Suhail Faris Al Mazroui, Minister of State for Youth and chairperson of the UAE Youth Council, stressed that the UAE is confidently moving forward towards a sustainable knowledge-based future, and that the nation is looking towards youth as a key element for that phase. Mohammed Al-Hajiri, 22, was appointed as the Council’s general coordinator. Al-Hajiri received electro-mechanical engineering diploma from Khalifa University. Other members include Sheikha Noura Abdullah al-Qasimi, who underwent training at Petrofac's operations department.
