Sheikh Khalifa issues decrees

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a number of federal decrees ratifying a number of agreements between the UAE and friendly countries and appointing judges in the Federal Supreme Court. The decrees were published in the recent issue of the federal official gazette. These included federal decree No.137 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Moldova on air services, federal decree No.138 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Kyrgyzstan on economic co-operation, federal decree No.139 for 2015 ratifying the documents of the Universal Postal Union, federal decree No.40 for 2015 ratifying the second protocol for amending the agreement with Singapore to avoid double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion, federal decree 141 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Barbados to avoid double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion and federal decree No.142 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Kyrgyzstan to avoid double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion. They also included federal decree No.143 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community on the granting of privileges and immunities of the European Union mission in the UAE, federal decree No.144 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with the European Union on exemption of visas for short, federal decree No.145 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Albanian Cabinet on the mutual exemption of visas prior to arrival for diplomatic and travel/service passport holders, federal decree No.146 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Bangladesh on the allocation of a plot of land for building UAE embassy and federal decree no. 147 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Morocco on administrative co-operation in customs matters. In addition, Sheikh Khalifa issued federal decree No.154 for 2015 ratifying an economic and commercial co-operation agreement with Comoros, federal decree No.155 for 2015 ratifying the joining of the UAE to a convention to maintain the migratory species of fungal animals, federal decree no. 156 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Central African Republic on air services and federal decree No.157 for 2015 ratifying an agreement with Kyrgyzstan to encourage mutual protection of investments. Meanwhile, Sheikh Khalifa issued federal decree No.148 appointing Ahmed Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Mulla and Juma Ibrahim Mohammed Al Otaibi as judges in the Federal Supreme Court. He also issued federal decree No.158 for 2015 promoting Abdullah Ahmed Yousef Al Mandoos, Director of the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology director to ministry under-secretary.
