His Excellency Hamad Mubarak Salem Alshamsi holds the position of Minister of State in the Government of the United Arab Emirates from 2021 to date, and From February 2016 to 2021, he served as Secretary General of the Supreme Petroleum Council.

From 2010 to 2016, he served as head of the State Security Service with the rank of minister. His Excellency graduated from Zayed Military College- the first special course, and also graduated from Hanbal Air Training College in Britain.

His Excellency obtained many certificates in professional development, including strategic planning, problem analysis and decision making, leadership and strategic management skills, leadership and management of intelligence services, advanced administrative systems for senior management, crisis and disaster management, advanced leadership, risk analysis, risk assessment, counter intelligence management, information analysis.

He participated in many conferences and meetings at the local and international levels and contributed to many initiatives related to addressing the problem of terrorism its financing and combating extremism.
