His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini is the Minister of State for Financial Affairs. He is responsible for the achievement of the Ministry’s strategic objectives and serving the interests of the UAE at local and international levels.
His Excellency has vast experience in several economic sectors, including finance, insurance, real estate, telecommunications, and retail.
His Excellency is a member of several boards. He is the Chairman of the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) and the Chairman of Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB). H.E. Al Hussaini is also Vice Chairman of the Federal Tax Authority, and a board member of the Emirates Investment Authority. In addition, His Excellency is a board member of Emirates NBD Bank P.J.S.C., Emirates Islamic Bank P.J.S.C., and Dubai Real Estate Corporation (Wasl).
Previously, His Excellency served on several other boards which adds to his professional portfolio. Those included serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company “Du”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emaar Malls, and a member of Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat), Maroc Telecom, Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily), and Deniz Bank in Turkey.
During his membership term at these entities, H.E. Al Hussaini participated actively in several board committees where he led many notable mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions.
H.E. Al Hussaini holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from Webster University in Switzerland.
