December 24th declared day off to mark Prophet’s birth anniversary
Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, has declared Thursday, December 24th, an official holiday for the public sector to mark the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), postponed from December 23rd.
A circular issued by the Minister of Education stated that the decision is in implementation of the provisions of Paragraph 5, Article 100 of the Cabinet Resolution No. 13 of 2012 and regulations of the decree of Federal Law No. 11 of 2008 on human resources in the federal government and its amendments, which defines the public holidays of ministries and federal authorities in the country.
On the occasion, Al Hammadi sent his regards to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.
He also congratulated the people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion.
