Dubai has opened preparations to host the 13th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands in 2018, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi said. Speaking on the occasion of the World Wetlands Day, which falls on the 1st of February, the minister said that the UAE leadership is committed to conserve biological diversity through the transformation of important areas into protected areas.
