Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services launches new electronic hub for all federal services

The Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services at the cabinet has launched an electronic hub to interconnect all federal departments in one database for all services offered by the federal government.

Khadamati (my services in Arabic), which was designed as a central portal to facilitate creating and updating data of all federal services, is in line with the goals of the smart government set by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to upgrade performance of the cabinet.

The move is part of the shift to e-government and will support efforts to achieve the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda, Hessa Buhumaid, Executive Director of the Government Services Sector at the Office of the Prime Minister, said.

By providing statistics and specialised analytical reports on more than 4000 government services at 200 service centres run by 44 federal government departments, the central system will boost development of services, she added.

The Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services hosted a workshop to introduce the new central system to some 100 federal officials responsible for government services.

The Programme was launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid in March 2011 to set higher standards in client services by improving efficiency. The programme is aimed, among other things, at improving star rating for customer service centres (from two to seven stars).
