FEWA to install 600,000 smart meters in 2020
The Federal Electricity and Water Authority is planning to install 600,000 water and electricity smart meters, to replace the current meters. The smart meters are to be linked to the AMI system, in order to provide customers with better services. Mohammed Saleh, director-general of FEWA, said that 70,000 electricity smart meters and 80,000 water smart meters, have been installed so far.
