First two female judges commend leadership's efforts to empower women
Appeals judge Khadija Khamis Al Malas and First Instance Court judge Salama Rashid Al Ketbi thanked President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for issuing two federal decrees appointing them as the first two women to hold positions in the UAE’s federal courts.
Both judges pledged to exert all their effort, with their fear of Allah Almighty on their conscience, to perform their judicial work and achieve swift justice, in line with the constitutional texts and laws of the Federal judicial authority while affirming that the federal decree to appoint them is an expression of the wise leadership’s support for justice and law, as well as its belief in the role of women in the country’s judicial system.
