General Authority for Islamic Affairs Proposes Draft Law on Endowments
The UAE General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments has proposed a draft law on endowments aimed at organizing endowment work in accordance with modern requirements and post-oil era. The draft law was debated at the Gulf Endowment Forum 2017, which was held in Abu Dhabi, with officials and representatives of endowment ministries and entities in GCC countries taking part in it. Participants in the forum praised the draft law, bearing in mind that the value of endowment assets in the UAE totals AED2 billion.
