The Government Communication Office at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet has held a series of media training workshops for a number of official spokespersons in the federal government.
The workshop is part of a continuous effort to develop the skills and expertise of more than 200 spokespersons of the UAE Government in dealing with the media, as well as to provide them with the best practices and communication experiences that enable them to convey clear and concise media messages.
"These workshops reflect the commitment of the Government Communication Office to develop the expertise of the government’s official spokespersons who represent their entities and communicate the voice of the UAE Government," said Khadija Hussein Abdullah, Executive Director of the Government Communication Office at General Secretariat of the Cabinet at the Ministry of the Cabinet Affairs and the Future.
The workshop focused on how to open channels of communication with the media, mechanisms of delivering key messages to the target audience, as well as procedures to be followed before and during any media interview, and the role of the communication teams in preparing for such interviews.
In turn, the participants emphasised the importance of such workshops in order to support the government’s effort in achieving its objectives.
