Khalifa Foundation provides relief aid to refugees returning from Pakistan

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has begun implementing the relief aid project in two areas of Kabul Province, in Afghanistan.

 

The move follows directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and follow up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Chairman of the Khalifa Foundation.

The aid includes food stuff items and winter shelter materials for 157 families.

Juma Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, UAE ambassador to Afghanistan, said the assistance was urgently dispatched to help returnees from Pakistan who were in a bad condition. The foundation would also dig wells to provide drinking water and help the refugees restore their natural life, he added.

The beneficiaries thanked the foundation for the assistance and wished well to the UAE leadership and those in charge of the foundation.
