Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment to Execute Three Waste-Management Projects in Umm Al-Quwain

The UAE Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment is wrapping up preparations to start executing three waste-management projects in Umm Al-Quwain, under the supervision of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. The ministry will tackle the current landfill in the emirate, establish a solid waste plant, and build a sewage treatment plant. Eng Yahia Rashid Ubaid Al Ali, Head of the Department of Municipal Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment, stressed that the government places much emphasis on preserving the environment and maintaining public sanitation.
