Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment: UAE Has 35 Nature Reserves
Engineer Mariam Hareb Al Muhairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment, noted that the number of natural reserves in the UAE has increased from 19 reserves in 2010 to 35 reserves this year – this includes 15 marine reserves and 20 wildlife reserves. These natural reserves are distributed among five emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Fujairah.
