Ministry of Climate Change issues list of approved countries for meat imports
Importers of red meat and poultry can only import goods from countries that have been approved by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. The decision was issued after teams from the ministry paid visits to these countries to inspect their compliance with UAE rules and regulations. On a separate note, seven new slaughterhouses will be established in the UAE, while one slaughterhouse will be shut down for breaching a set of rules, regulations, and requirements imposed by the ministry.
