Ministry of Climate Change reiterates its commitment to promote animal health
The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is planning to issue legislation to regulate procedures for the prevention of epidemics among animals, and to control quarantine operations, in an effort to improve animal health measures and preserve public health. The ministry is also working with concerned local authorities to organise animal immunisation campaigns and consolidate animal health policies across the country in terms of disease classification, targeted species, and implementation dates throughout the year. In addition to that, work is underway to classify animal diseases in the UAE in order of priority.
