Ministry of Community Development examining list of non-profit organisations
The Ministry of Community Development revealed that it is currently examining the regulatory list of non-profit organisations, and their licences and work permits, including their role, method of administration, value of support and its relation to the goals of the organisation, in addition to the mechanism of forming the administerial framework and membership. Sana Suhail, undersecretary of the Ministry of Community Development, disclosed that specialised teams are reviewing the files in order to develop the level of performance, in line with the Ministry's vision to drive developmental productivity. Suhail clarified that the files of non-profit organisation are no longer a priority for study, considering that they are the foundation of fulfilling the concept of social responsibility among individuals.
