Mohammed bin Rashid, Mohamed bin Zayed honour 46 UAE pioneers

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,  vice-president, prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, has decorated forty-six Emirati philanthropists, led by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, as part of the UAE Pioneers Award, highlighting the remarkable acts of giving in ‎conjunction with the 46th UAE National Day and the 2017 Year of Giving.

Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, speaker of Federal National Council;  Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Department of Transport, attended the event along with several ministers and dignitaries.

Among entities and individuals honoured were: UAE Red Crescent Authority, Dubai Cares, Etisalat, the late Abdul Jaleel Al Fahim, Abdulla Ahmad Al Ghurair, Saeed and Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah who contributed to the establishment of the first medical center affiliated to the Ministry of Health in Fujairah, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for supporting students in the UAE University, Higher Colleges of Technology and Zayed University and Sultan Rashed Al-Dhaheri who made a donation to support Masdar Institute's Young Future Energy Leaders Program.

On this occasion, Sheikh Mohammed took on to Twitter and said: "My brother Mohamed bin Zayed and I honored 46 Emirati philanthropists who reflect the legacy of the founder of the UAE". On this occasion, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality Hussain Nasser Lootah, MD and CEO of DEWA Saeed Mohammed Ahmed Al Tayer and Director-General of the Community Development Authority (CDA) Ahmad Abdul Karim Julfar, said that Mohammed bin Rashid and Mohamed bin Zayed have honoured the UAE's pioneers as they represent the most important pillar of building a stable and prosperous future.
