Ramadan Majlis Pays Tribute to Nation’s Heroes in Fujairah

The Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office and ‎the ‎‎Higher National Committee for ‎the Year of ‎‎‎‎Giving held the fifth Ramadan Majlis in Fujairah on Sunday evening, attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin ‎Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, ‎ ‎Director of the ‎‎Martyrs’ ‎Families’ Affairs ‎Office (MFAO) at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court‎, ‎and His Excellency Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy. The Majlis is co-organized by the General ‎Secretariat of the Cabinet to the Ministry of ‎Cabinet ‎Affairs ‎and ‎the Future.

Sheikh Khalifa bin ‎Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan highlighted that the Ramadan Majlis reflects the cohesion and unity between the UAE leadership, the families of the heroes and the people of the UAE as one unified family. He pointed out that the attendance of the families and their active involvement is yet another sign of their patriotic spirit, and their love and loyalty to the UAE.

His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei praised the heroes’ families for their sacrifice and giving. "The UAE never forget its loyal sons, our leadership made it clear that the families' welfare is a top government priority," he said. "The people of the UAE stand united and supportive of each other in the face of circumstances, and continue to build the future of the country maintaining all the positive values set by our heroes," Al Mazrouei added.

Speaking about the UAE’s progress and prosperity, Al Mazrouei emphasized that "there is no progress or accomplishment without making sacrifices, and the UAE is advancing steadily on the path of prosperity and will not settle before achieving the highest ranks.”

"A robust economy alone is not enough to ensure progress, security and stability in the region are just as important," he said. "We are very confident in our leadership and keen to continue the hard work to drive growth and prosperity for the benefit of future generations."

Al Mazrouei concluded his speech with a poem he had dedicated to ‎the UAE heroes and their families. ‎

The Majlis commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran by Muhammad Arkam Mohammed Hussein, the 15-‎year-old ‎contestant at the Dubai International Holy Quran Award this year, representing ‎ Sri Lanka.

Families present ‎praised the Ramadan Majlis and the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office as a ‎‎platform that ‎maintains ‎communication between them and the government providing ‎‎them with all kinds of needed support, and ‎expressed gratitude to the UAE society for ‎its ‎‎continuous encouragement and care. ‎
