Ramadan Timings: UAE announces 5-hour shifts…Federal Authority for Government Human Resources issue circular
Federal civil servants will work five hours a day from 9 am to 2 pm during the fasting month of Ramadan, which starts in the first week of June.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAGHR) issued a circular setting work time for ministries and federal offices during Ramadan in line with a federal cabinet decision, the official news agency WAM reported.
According to the circular No. 17 for the year 2016, the official work of the ministries and federal agencies during the month of Ramadan starts at 9am and ends at 2pm in the afternoon.
This is based on the Cabinet decision No. 13 for the year 2012 on the Implementing Regulations of the Federal Law by Decree No. 11 for the year 2008 on human resources in the federal government, as amended, and the text of the second paragraph of Article No. 100 of the Regulation.
On this occasion, the Authority congratulated the UAE President Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their Highnesses Members of Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.
The Authority also congratulated the people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations on this occasion.
