Saif bin Zayed: UAE seeks to create a safe electronic environment
Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said that the UAE always seeks to create a safe electronic environment for all internet users in the country – especially young people. Sheikh Saif made his remarks, during the launch of “Salem” website for online awareness. The website was launched by Aqdar, the Khalifa Empowerment Program for Students, and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said that the website is a huge step towards raising awareness among the youth about the possible dangers of the internet.
