Smart System to Connect Agricultural Produce with Market Demand
The UAE Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has said that it plans to launch a series of initiatives to bolster local agriculture, with the aim to achieve what is known as the ‘smart agricultural empowerment’ during the season 2017 – 2018.
A group of farmers will be linked with the contractual agriculture system, according to a ministry official. Abdullah Salem Ahmed Janaa, acting health, development, and agriculture manager – Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, said that the agricultural empowerment system will be implemented as part of an agricultural plan that complies with sustainable agricultural development plans.
