The Ministerial Development Council discusses the formation of the Higher Committee for the Services of People of Determination
The Ministerial Development Council held its meeting to discuss a number of issues related to government affairs, under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressed the active and important role of People of Determination in the UAE saying that "The UAE has gone a long way in integrating and empowering the People of Determination in the community by developing policies, programs and initiatives to create a suitable environment around them, enabling them to enjoy all services and ensure that they benefit from them, and we will continue this approach to make the UAE a global role model.
" The Council reviewed the formation of a Higher Committee for the Services of People of Determination, with the aim of providing all needed support and empowerment.
The committee is responsible for assessing and studying the current situation and the challenges faced by People of Determination in all field including educational, rehabilitation, health, social and employment aspects.
The committee will also propose relevant policies and follow up on the implementation of programs and initiatives for People of Determination.
The Council reviewed the developments of the Federal System for Human Resources and Payrolls which is supervised by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, and aims to provide a unified electronic database in the federal government through a live and timely manner, which helps in measuring the KPIs and enhance the auditing process.
The Council also discussed a proposal to issue the executive regulations of the Federal Law on the circulation of petroleum products, in order to regulating their handling and establish procedures to ensure the safety and security of people and property.
The executive regulation would also protect the environment from any pollution that may be caused by handling petroleum products. The Council discussed the executive regulation of the Federal Law on Medical Liability, which defines the controls and conditions governing the provision of telehealth services, and the criteria for serious medical error.
The Council also discussed the issuance of the a resolution on the executive regulations of the Federal Law Decree to regulate the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues, aiming at providing the appropriate ground for the development of organ transplantation services in the UAE.
The Council also reviewed a number of government reports, including a report on the developments of the health insurance project for federal government employees, and the results of the review process of the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption during the first review cycle 2010-2015.
Along with the report of the Audit Bureau on the final account of the Emirates Investment Authority for the financial year 2017, in addition to a number of topics and proposals on the agenda.
