UAE Cabinet approves establishment of UAE Council for the Fourth Industrial Revolution

The UAE Cabinet has approved the establishment of the UAE Council for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The establishment of the Council coincides with the launch of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit’s which kicked off in Abu Dhabi on 27th March in the presence of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The council will be chaired by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future. Other members include Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy; Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness; Shamma bint Sohail Faris AlMazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs; Mohammad Omran Al Shamsi, Chancellor of Higher Colleges of Technology, and directors of UAE University and Khalifa University for Science and Technology.

Other members also include the director-general of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, director-general of the National Electronic Security Authority, director-general of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Centre, director-general of the Smart Dubai Office and chief executive of the Dubai Future Foundation.
