Young Media Leaders programme graduates honoured
Twenty-one Emiratis from seven universities were recognised on Sunday after successfully completing a bilingual training programme to qualify them to pursue careers in media.
The youths were received by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, upon completing the Young Media Leaders programme, a nine-month training programme run by the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF).
"The Young Media Leaders programme contributes to enhancing the role of youth, as they assist in the country’s continuing progress, as well as recognizes their excellent experience in the media sector. Media plays an important role in showcasing strategies for boosting the excellent Emirati experience," Sheikh Nahyan said, at the ceremony held at his palace.
To date, 206 Emirati students completed the bi-lingual programme, launched in 2006, to qualify for jobs in the national media sector.
